For the most sustainable data center in the world
Development partners
Opportunity Overview
1
7-hectare site zoned for data center use in Denmark (Central Jutland).
2
30 MW immediate power access, with 24 months opportunity for 60 MW, 36 months for 100+ MW
3
Ready for immediate construction with permits and infrastructure in place.
4
Strategically located for low-latency connectivity across Northern Europe.
5
Placed in campus area dedicated new energy technologies and systems. Own power supply and heat re-use. Full end-to-end sector coupling for the most sustainable data center in the world.
7 hectare for the world's most energy efficient data center
Dedicated campus for new energy technologies
The site is located within an unique dedicated campus area for developing and testing new energy technologies and systems with end-to-end sector coupling for sustainability.
Sector coupling for reliability and sustainability
The campus has co-located renewable power generation (solar, wind), its own new-build and private transformer station and new technologies for heat re-use for industrial processes, CO2 capture, district heating, agriculture etc.
New innovation opportunities
Denmark is known for its focus on green technologies. The site provides opportunities to set new standards for data centers and market it as the most sustainable in the world
30 MW scalable, efficient and resilient power supply
Co-located power generation and infrastructure
The site has co-located large scale solar and wind power production with BESS, with campus private owned transformer station ensures maximum power reliability. 30 MW now, 60 MW in 24 months, 100+ MW in 36 months
HUAWEI PowerPod, BESS and biogas gas back-up
Site is designed with Huawei PowerPod, offering first line 12 min. back-up power. Site dedicated BESS extends this for 2 hour with biogas power generator as long term solution
Island mode able for resilience and efficiency
With multiple energy sources and storage, the site will have the ability to enter island mode. But also leverage this opportunity to optimize cost and sustainability
Both energy and cost efficient
Low CAPEX
Containerized design reduces initial investment by 30%.
  • Faster modular deployment
  • Quicker ROI timeframe
  • Scale as you grow
Reduced OPEX
Competitive power pricing on level with Norway and Finland
  • Effective peak load shaving management with BESS
  • Island mode during high-cost periods
  • Lower costs with integrated renewables
Heat re-use revenue
Convert waste heat to profit through campus partnerships.
  • Supply to nearby industrial processes
  • District heating integration
  • Greenhouse agricultural applications

Steps Toward Commissioning
Site Visit (Start >)
Nordic HPC DC and Huawei invite you to visit the site and campus to explore the opportunity.
Phase 1: Feasibility and Design (3 months)
Nordic HPC DC and Huawei will provide site designs leading to a turn-key EPC contract.
Potentially a phased approach for scalability and energy and heat sector coupling. Optional O&M agreement.
Final Investment Decision (2 months)
Approval of the EPC contract to proceed
with the project.
Phase 2: Detailed EPC (6 months)
Site land lease or acquisition.
Execution of detailed engineering, procurement, and construction according to agreed terms and phases.
Commissioning Operational Start (1 month)
Testing and validation of the facility
to ensure readiness for operation.
Commencement of full data center operations.
